Polagra-Tech held in Poznan is the largest trade show of food technologies in the countries of the New Europe. It is annually held under the auspices of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. The show is divided into five specialist exhibitions, of which four are held every two years.

Polagra-Tech exhibitors always include all leaders from individual segments of the food technology market. This is no surprise – the show is visited by almost 34,000 professional attendees: owners and co-owners of food processing companies, decision-makers and production technology experts from the European Union countries, including mainly countries of the New Europe.

Every two years, the agro-industrial technology sector meets in Chapecó, state of Santa Catarina, South of Brazil, to participate in MercoAgro, The International Fair of Meat Business, Processing and Commer-cialization. From 11 to 14 November 2008 the International DLG Exhibition for Animal Husbandry and Management will be the world's meeting place for professional animal farmers. As the organiser DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft - German Agricultural Society) reports, in 2008 EuroTier will be the only international exhibition for professional animal husbandry in Europe that comprehensively covers all segments of the branch - cattle, pig and poultry farming, as well as aquaculture.

EuroTier will be held at the world's largest exhibition grounds in Hanover and is thus not only the ideal venue for business contacts in West and East Europe, but also the meeting place for animal husbandry professionals from all over the world. The majority of the visitors are decision-makers from farm businesses, ready to invest. However, large numbers of industrial buyers, advisors, dealers, veterinarians and specialists from the realms of academia and research also come to EuroTier. At the last event in 2006, a success story, over 116,000 visitors were recorded, as well as 1,500 exhibitors from 38 countries.

This year the 15th edition of the exhibition YugAgro will be held in the EXPO Exhibition Centre in Krasnodar, Russia. The YugAgro is a specialized exhibition for Agriculture and Food Industries of South Russia. YugAgro is the most important forum of agricultural industries in South Russia. Since 2004, it works under the quality label of UFI, the International Union of the Trade Fair Industry. 550 companies from a total of 23 nations present their products to the Russian market on the South – Russian exhibition.
