'Systemate Numafa presents Digital Grading System
in Atlanta'
Without knowing the exact number of visitors, we may say that the last International Poultry Exposition in the Georgia World Congress Center of Atlanta this January, was the most visited IPE show since years.
We welcomed a lot of visitors from South-America and Central America such as Guatemala, Equador, San Salvador and Belize. Besides American visitors there were also a lot decision makers from the Middle East, Africa and Asia, especially Korea and Japan.
Systemate Numafa, still ahead in the poultry business after 35 years, attended the IPE show with
a good looking booth. A very open booth what obvious appeared to be attractive to visit.
On the stand an 8" Flexline with scale deck and a vision grading Cabinet was presented.
After anticipating ahead of changes in the food processing industry with regards to trace ability and food safety, Systemate Numafa launched an improved model of a Digital Grading System (DGS).
DGS is an automated visual grading system using computer technology which eliminates the need for manual grading. Each bird's breast, legs, wings and thighs are inspected individually. DGS distributes the graded birds according to pre-set parameters to cut-up modules or drops. DGS detects (partly) missing wings, different types of stains (bruises, burn spots, discoloration), missing or damaged skin, feathers, one leggers, and empty shackles.
This grading system can be used in sizing and flex lines at 8" or 12" centers. The software is user-friendly designed. Because of the clear main page, it is simple to see what the grading percentages are. Moreover, because of the specified the specified detected faults, it is possible to detect where the fault originates and improvement actions can be taken.

Besides this DGS Systemate Numafa showed a cut up line included fat puller to produce a dark meat product, a high speed gizzard harvester, a D-40 thigh deboner and a no-vacuum vent cutter. This machine uses no vacuum or air and its especially designed unit ensures acured cutting and removal of the vent cutter and prevents contamination.
Not only did Systemate Numafa exhibit poultry slaughtering equipment, but also her tote and lid cleaning system. An industrial stainless steel washing installation, specially designed to meet the strictest environmental, hygiene and packaging regulations throughout the world.
Furthermore these machines, Systemate Numafa was present to promote her third specialization the spiral systems. These installations are suitable for freezing all kinds of meat and meat products, both fresh as well as pre fried and fully fried.
Systemate Numafa and Dapec were very enthusiastic about the IPE show in Atlanta and will definitely be present at the next IPE in 2006!
